Undated (KROC AM News) - The Mega Millions lottery game will likely move into record territory before the next drawing.

The game’s grand prize climbed to $654-million after going unclaimed in the Friday night drawing. That’s only $2-million away from the game’s record that was set in 2012.

Expected brisk ticket sales leading up to the game’s Tuesday drawing could push the jackpot well over the current record.

The game's jackpot has been rolling since it was last won on July 24, when a California office pool of 11 co-workers shared $543 million, the largest prize ever won on a single ticket in the game.

Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot rolled again after going unclaimed in that game’s Saturday drawing. It will be worth at least $345-million for the Wednesday drawing.
