Hayfield, MN (KROC AM News) - The Dodge County Sheriff’s office is investigating the death of a young Hayfield boy.

Sheriff Scott Rose says a 911 call was made from the home of the 10-year-old boy around 11:30 AM Sunday. Rose says the boy was unresponsive and efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

Rose says the preliminary investigation found no signs of trauma or known medical history. Rose says although it’s likely the boy died from natural causes, an autopsy will be performed to determine the actual cause of death.

Rose says the Dodge County School Resource Officer and Hayfield school officials met Sunday to organize their crisis response program for students this week.
