Can your farts reveal if you have cancer? Science suggests that it's possible!

According to a story from the UK's Daily Mail, scientists believe the gases in our bodies can reveal a range of diseases such as colon cancer and irritable bowel syndrome.

Attempting to 'scientifically analyze people's farts' can be tricky, whether they use a breathalyzer or look at feces, so now an engineer has come up with a solution.

The inventor claims he has come up with a way to ferment fecal matter and developed gas-sensing capsules that can make studying stools and bodily gases much easier.

He predicts the gas-monitoring capsules will cost less than $10 each; they’ll measure the concentration of intestinal gases using a built-in gas sensor, microprocessor and a wireless transmitter.

Fecal fermentation involves putting a spoonful of feces in a jar with a lid that has sensors to detect the gas molecules inside the container.
