‘Tin Man’ Named Song of the Year at the 2018 ACM Awards
Congratulations to the 2018 ACM Song of the Year winner, Miranda Lambert! This year, the contending songs also included tracks from Sam Hunt, Keith Urban and Chris Stapleton.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Cam presented Lambert with the award for her song, "Tin Man." Lambert kept her acceptance brief, simply saying, "Thank you guys so much for sharing my broken heart with me," before turning the mic over to Jon Randall and Jack Ingram, the song's co-writers.
The award is a historical milestone for Lambert: She is now the most-awarded artist in ACMs history with 30 titles to her name, after previously being tied with Brooks & Dunn.
Last year at this time, Lambert performed a raw rendition of "Tin Man" and received a standing ovation, so it only seems fitting that the song would go on to win Song of the Year at the 2018 ACM Awards. Lambert, Randall and Ingram penned this song for her album The Weight of These Wings; it also received Grammys nods for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song.
