33 Restaurants in Minnesota Now Have the Most Unhealthy Meal in the U.S.
The one meal that's the complete opposite of healthy can now be found at one restaurant chain that has 33 locations here in Minnesota.
If one of your goals for 2024 was to eat better, be more healthy, and keep calories in moderation, this is NOT the meal for you. That's not to say it won't taste good, because it sounds AMAZING. But, it's also been ranked as the Least Healthy Meal in America according to a new survey.
The number-crunchers over at restaurant site PriceListo just did a study to find out which fast food chain has the most 'unhealthy' menu-- one loaded with items that pack on the calories. They noted that while fast food is often convenient and affordable, many meals contain 'high levels of salt, sugar, and unhealthy fats that can contribute to poor dietary habits and health issues if consumed too regularly,' the study noted.

This study specifically analyzed the nutritional value of items from 47 of the most popular fast food restaurants in the US and ranked these to see which items contained the most calories. And their results show that most calorific-- or 'unhealthy'-- meal can be found at a restaurant chain that currently has 33 different locations here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
So just what meal are we talking about-- and where can you get it? That would be the Fried Chicken 12 Piece and 6 Biscuits from Hardees. And while it sounds incredible, the PriceListo survey says it's been named the unhealthiest fast food item in America, mainly because it contains an 'eye-watering 6,490 calories,' the survey said.
Hardees was founded in 1960, and currently has 33 restaurants across the Bold North in the following cities:

Keep in mind, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the recommended caloric intake for men and women for the ENTIRE DAY is less than half of the amount of calories in that meal! The NIH says:
A woman should eat 2000 calories per day to maintain her weight, and should limit her caloric intake to 1500 or less to lose one pound per week. For the average male to maintain his body weight, he should eat 2500 calories per day, or 2000 a day if he wants to lose one pound per week.
So, yeah, you'll probably want to enjoy that meal from Hardees in moderation. You can check out the rest of the unhealthiest meals in the PriceListo survey below:
