5 Of The Best Moments At The 50th CMA Awards [PHOTOS]
You guys were amazing chatting with us during the show on our Facebook page! Thank you for joining me, and Curt St. John while we watched the 50th Annual CMA Awards! What was your favorite moment from the show? Here are five of mine...
1) Garth Brooks' "Entertainer Of The Year" win.
I mean, was there really any better choice? We'll leave that up for debate, but I'm happy it was Garth.
2) Dolly Parton crying off her eye makeup.
When you have Jennifer Nettles, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire and Kacey Musgraves saluting you - you know you're a big deal! Lily Tomlin even introduced her!! Dolly Parton was obviously overcome with emotion (and rightfully so!) and said she'd "try to not cry off her makeup" ...that didn't work out so well...
3) Randy Travis having a moment.
Seeing Randy Travis included in the show was the best! Plus, he sang "Forever And Ever, Amen" too! With only a few of his friends, of course. It was overwhelming. Okay, it was only the last bit of the song... but wow did he amaze us!
4) Carrie Underwood's "Female Vocalist Of The Year" win.
There was a lot of good choices for this award! Carrie had to beat out Miranda Lambert! That's hard to do! However, she did it - and she was flabbergasted! She quickly thanked her husband and son, as expected.
5) Tim McGraw brings in a choir.
Take a guess what song was performed here? "Humble & Kind" you say? You are correct! What a sweet moment to include a choir!
There were seriously too many moments to count! I loved the 50th CMAs! Thank you to Sam Alex of Taste Of Country Nights for talking with us before the show. He helped us prepare, and we still weren't ready!
