5 Workout Tips From Carrie Underwood’s Trainer
Today is a depressing day. By now, the holiday glow has worn off, the Christmas bills are piling up AND most people have given up on their New Years Resolutions. While I can't help you with the first two things, working out CAN lift your spirit. Here are some simple tips to get back on track!
If Carrie Underwood can fit a workout plan in her busy schedule, than so can you!! She works out with a trainer.
Here are five must-do fitness tips from Carrie's Trainer The Tennessean.
- Cool it with the daily boozing. As rough as it sounds, it really does make a big difference. Think of how many calories are in a glass of wine.
- Stay active & move more. Even little things like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or walking during your lunch break.
- Short bursts of focused exercises also helps. The trainer recommends high-impact Tabata exercises. I will 100% agree with that. I used to do Tabata warm ups on the treadmill - jog for 40 seconds, sprint for 20 and repeat 3 times.
- Don't go on a diet; instead, change your lifestyle. K-I-S-S = Keep it simple stupid. That's my motto. Prep meals in advance too. That'll help keep you from cheating when you don't feel like cooking.
- Squats, lunges and push-ups are key. These three simple exercises tone your entire body, and can work for every skill level.
