Minnesota is known as the Land of 10,000 Lakes, right? Well, you'll never believe what one 8-year-old Vikings fan just found in a lake near her house.

I don't know about you, but I've lost lots of things to lakes both here in Minnesota and Wisconsin over the years. I'm still looking for a sweet pair of sunglasses I dropped into the waters of Trout Lake near Boulder Junction, Wisconsin years ago. Strangely, I've not found them yet, though.

That's totally different what happened to 8-year-old Saga Vanecek, though. Saga was born here in Minneapolis and is a big Vikings fan. She and just moved back to her family's native country of Sweden, which is where she made this incredible find at a lake near their house.

According to the Daily Mail, Saga grabbed what she thought was a stick bobbing in the water. Except, it wasn't a stick at all. It was actually a sword-- one that dates back to pre-Vikings times-- meaning it's well over 1,000 years old!

She and her family have turned the incredible find over to a local museum in Sweden that's working on preserving the sword. The story said the museum estimates the sword can be traced back to the 5th or 6th century. It will eventually be displayed to the public, they're hoping sometime later next year.

And, her dad's also hoping it might be good luck for a certain team from Minnesota. "The cool thing is I'm a huge Vikings fan, and this looks just like a Viking sword," her dad told the local paper, the story noted.
