Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  It may be years before significant changes are made to Graham Park but the Olmsted County Board is getting close to adopting a long-range plan for the site in southeast Rochester.

The board was briefed on the plan Tuesday.

The board was told a final plan is expected to be finalized next month. Right now, the plan has identified three concepts.

County Board Chair Sheila Kiscaden says the goal of the plan is to get more use out of the site, which has been the longtime home of the Olmsted County Fair.

Kiscaden says the plan will likely call for preserving and upgrading some of the buildings currently at the park and adding an Expo. State funds are already been sought for that project. Kiscaden says the existing grandstand may be replaced by a different seating design. Also being looked at is a possible transportation hub at the park. She anticipates the Graham Arena complex will undergo improvements and eventually, the original building will likely have to be replaced.

Kiscaden says the proposed changes at the park could occur over the next ten years or longer, depending on available funding.
