Fourth graders across Rochester were asked to participate in an art contest to help promote the "Help Make Rochester a Litter Bit Better," initiative. The results are in! We received a press release that said Bhavya Yerriboyina is this year's winner. Bhavya is a student in Mrs. Sorensen's fourth-grade class at Washington Elementary School in Rochester.

Bhavya will receive a t-shirt that has the "Help Make Rochester a Little Bit Better," logo on it, a poster, and will be invited to walk in the Rochesterfest parade to pass out pledge cards with Bhavya artwork on it. These pledge cards ask folks to pledge not to litter and pick up litter in our beautiful city.

Mrs. Sorensen's class will receive a pizza party with Mayor Kim Norton and a $100 gift card to use on supplies.

Bhavya wasn't the only student that was recognized for their artwork. There were runner ups from other schools who also received prizes. These students are also invited to participate in the Rochesterfest parade this upcoming summer.
