Another MnDOT Snow Plow Wreck
Alexandria, MN (KROC AM News) - There has been another traffic wreck involving a MnDOT snow plow.
The latest incident happened Friday morning on I-94 near Alexandria.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a vehicle was trying to pass a truck and apparently did not see the plow that was plowing the left lane and causing whiteout conditions. The vehicle slammed into the plow and its driver and passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicle was driven by 65-year-old Alan Pranke of Jamestown, ND. The passenger was his wife Pamela. They were taken to a hospital in Alexandria. The MnDOT driver identified as 33-year-old Christopher Ranweiler of Alexandria. He was not hurt.
More than 40 MnDOT plows have been involved in collisions since early January, including several in SE Minnesota.
