It seems like every week we are hearing of a business closing in Rochester.  Today, that announcement is coming from a well-known and established restaurant in downtown Rochester.

300 First sadly announced on their Facebook page that their last day for dine-in and take out would be Friday, July 3rd.

300 First announces with a heavy heart that we will be closing after Friday night due to the unforeseen circumstances of the last few months. While we hope this isn’t permanent, the staff at 300 would like to thank its loyal customers for over a decade of good times. We appreciate everything you’ve done for us!

Dine in and take out will still be available from 5:00 to 9:00 PM tonight (7/1), tomorrow (7/2), and Friday (7/3) evening.

If you’re looking for a good meal still, head to The Redwood Room daily from 5:00 to 9:00 PM!

This is one restaurant that I have never had the privilege of eating at but I hear their steaks and seafood were amazing.

300 First is owned by Creative Cuisine Company, which also owns The Redwood Room, Hefe Rojo, City Market, and the Newt's restaurants in town.  They are also planning on opening up a new restaurant, The Purple Goat, in the NE area of town in the building that used to be Shopko.  You can read about that new and upcoming restaurant here.
