Car Versus Semi Crash On Highway 3 In Northfield Monday

Yesterday afternoon a westbound vehicle crashed into a northbound semi-truck and trailer on Highway 3 in Northfield. The 53-year-old Faribault driver of the car sustained what was reported to be non-life threatening injuries and was brought to the Northfield Hospital. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, 53-year-old Jennifer Teigen, of Faribault, was driving a 2004 Honda Accord westbound on Schjelmile Lane when she collided with a 2006 Peterbilt semi-truck and trailer that was traveling northbound on Highway 3.

The driver of the 2006 Peterbilt, 64-year-old John Stapleton of River Falls, Wisconsin, was uninjured in the accident.

The accident was reported at 2:46 PM with road conditions at the time being reported as dry. Responding to the scene along with the Minnesota State Patrol was the Northfield Police, Northfield Fire, and ambulance.
