Confirmed: New Hobby Lobby Coming To Austin

A little while ago, I wrote about the prospect of a Hobby Lobby coming to Austin. It looks like this rumor is true!

According to the Austin Daily Herald, Hobby Lobby confirmed the news themselves. They are indeed moving into that old Target location in Austin too. Hobby Lobby is hoping for a March 2019 opening.

Hobby Lobby has certainly had its ups and downs over recent years, but the interest in them as a company (and the products that they sell) is still at a high. Almost 17 million people admitted to purchasing some home accessory from Hobby Lobby over the past year.

How did this rumor start? Hannah Yang of the Austin Daily Herald explained, "Rumors sparked that the craft store chain would be coming to Austin after a job posting for a co-manager position had surfaced on the company’s website and on job sharing sites." I caught wind of this too because it's exciting!
