Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -If you happen to see a large public safety presence in southeast Rochester Tuesday, there’s a reason for that.

The Rochester fire and police departments are scheduled to hold a joint training drill that is expected to last most of the day.

It will be held at the Rochester Public Schools Facilities Service Center at 3935 Highway 14 East.

Those involved will include members of RFD’s Chemical Assessment Team and RPD’s Incident Management Team as well as other officers. Members of the Minnesota Army National Guard and Poison Control agency are also expected to take part in the exercise.

The city says “Expect several fire trucks, squad cars and other vehicles in the area.”
