Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester area received a good soaking Tuesday morning from a line of cells that produced periods of heavy rain in parts of southeast Minnesota.

The downpour in Rochester led to scattered street flooding in some parts of the city.

More than an inch of rain was recorded at the St Marys Hospital heliport between 8:30 and 9:30. By the time the rain ended, the total had climbed to 1.5 inches. But only a quarter of an inch was recorded at the Rochester airport.

There is a good chance of more rain Tuesday night through Wednesday evening with possible totals of more than an inch.
