Why EAA AirVenture 2021 is Curt St. John’s Must-See Summer Event

The pandemic may have canceled it last year, but the incredible EAA AirVenture 2021 is back, bigger and better than ever this year in Oshkosh, Wisconsin!

Here in Minnesota, there are a LOT of things on our summer To-Do list, right? Things like heading to our local farmers market, checking out Thursdays Downtown, taking in a show at the Down by the Riverside Concert series and, of course, heading to the Minnesota State Fair.

But let me add one more to your list: the EAA AirVenture 2021 over in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Growing up over in central Wisconsin, I know firsthand what an amazing festival the annual EAA AirVenture is, and it's something you and your family will love!

Quite simply, the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2021 is called the World's Greatest Aviation Celebration. And that's not bragging, that's a fact. Aviation enthusiasts from literally all over the world make their way to the AirVenture every year, which is put on by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) over in Oshkosh. (It is about 3 hours and 50 minutes east of Rochester, near beautiful Lake Winnebago.)

To quote the EAA AirVenture website:

Only in Oshkosh will you live seven straight days of world-class aerobatics, history coming alive through airplanes from all eras of flight filling the skies, camaraderie with fellow aviation enthusiasts and much, much more!

Plus, also this year, young people ages 18 and under will be admitted free to AirVenture Oshkosh 2021 as a way to introduce more youth into the world of flight, supported in part by The Boeing Company.
