Additional Information

Art on the Ave is an annual spring art festival celebrating its 10th anniversary within the Slatterly Park neighborhood. This year's theme "Sound & Color" was chosen to focus on how music and art both function in bringing community together and connecting people with one another. As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, Art on the Ave works to promote the education of the arts, revitalize SE Rochester with progressive beautification projects, showcase local artisans and art-based organizations, food, musicians, and fine arts performers. The highlight of this event is the unveiling of a permanent boulevard sculpture hand-crafted by a regional artist to symbolize this year’s theme. The sculpture will become the fifteenth public sculpture located within the Slatterly Park neighborhood. This year's event will also feature pop-up art, live art, and locally designed t-shirts available for sale. All are welcome at this event which will be held on Saturday, June1st from 9:30 am until 4:30 pm, on 6th Ave SE (on the block of Redeemer Church). Food and drink will be available for purchase from Grand Rounds Brewing Co., Fiddlehead, and People's Food Coop; no carry-ins please.
