Former Olmsted County Sheriff, Steve Borchardt, presents “History of Police Use of Force Methodology and Policies.” In this lecture, Mr. Borchardt will share current cases that are affecting law enforcement including data on the frequency of use of force. Steve will explain the training that peace officers receive and explore the limitations and challenges that officers face in the line of duty.  There will be time for questions during and after the lecture.

The lecture will be held in the Harold Crawford room at the History Center of Olmsted County on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. A cash bar and light refreshments will be available to guests beginning at 5:30 P.M. with the one-hour lecture beginning at 6:00 P.M. Admission for the event is free.  At-will donations gratefully accepted.
