The Minnesota Golden Gopher Women's Basketball team's season opener against New Hampshire has officially been sold out, and it is the first time the Women's team have sold out Williams Arena since 2004 when Whalen was the starting point guard and the Gopher made a run to the final four.

Now Whalen, as head coach, will look to lead the team from the sideline in front of a soldout crowd.

Fans who want to get a look at the Gophers, who where picked to finish third in the Big Ten by the media, will be able to do so in the remaining home games. The Gophers are coming off a season that saw them finish 24-9 and made a trip to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
