Got an Old Christmas Tree? A Byron Business Has a Unique Idea For You
Tis the season we see old, real Christmas trees hanging out by the side of our houses. If your neighbor has one that you are tired of looking at, go ahead and send this story to them because there are some animals in Southeast Minnesota that are ready to eat them all up.
Simple Soaps for Simple Folks posted a note on their Facebook page recently with a message for anyone and everyone that has an old real Christmas tree hanging around.
Curbed Christmas tree? Bring it to our goats instead! They adore pine tree needles and bark, and will munch them right up. PS. No metal, spray paint, tinsel, or plastic should be left on the tree.
Please PM to setup a drop-off time. Thank you!
If you haven't put the two and two together on why a soap place is asking for Christmas trees for goats, well, Simple Soaps creates handcrafted goat milk soap.
If you are a fan of upcycling and you still happen to have some Christmas cards in a pile on your kitchen counter, St. Jude would love to have those for their recycling card program. All the details and the address where those can be sent can be found here.
Do you know another business that is promoting upcycling? Send me a message! You can find me easily on my Facebook page - Jessica On The Radio - or on my Instagram page here.
