Minnesota, YOU are amazing and I've loved hearing and seeing how individuals and communities have stepped up to help one another while we are combatting Covid-19.  One of the latest examples of #MinnesotaStrong was the number of masks donated through the big collection happening at fire stations across Minnesota.  One town in Southeast Minnesota stood out and was recognized by Governor Tim Walz.

I'm not sure how many hours of work it took to create this massive number of masks, but over 137,430 homemade masks were donated throughout the entire state at local fire stations over the weekend.  Wow!

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz shared his message of thanks recently but also gave a special shoutout to a town in Southeast Minnesota, Altura.

We just got the final count and Minnesotans donated 137,430+ masks during our drive. Special shout out to Altura, MN, which donated nearly as many masks as it has residents. We couldn’t have done this without our fire stations, every single one of which participated. Awesome. - Governor Tim Walz Facebook Page

Have you heard about a business or organization in Southeast Minnesota that has gone above and beyond during Covi-19?  I'd love to hear about it.  Send me a message on my Facebook page (Jessica On The Radio) or DM me on Instagram.
