Hank Williams Jr Shares Minnesota Fishing Picture On Facebook + Twitter
Minnesota is well established as the "Land of 10,000 Lakes". In all actuality, there are really more than 10,000 lakes in the state - but it makes for a catchy slogan and all. So with that large number of lakes, the opportunities for fishing abound.
So it should come as no wonder that Minnesota's plentiful lakes attract some big name celebrities to try their luck at catching one of those (somewhat) elusive "big ones". Over the years, famous celebrities from all corners of the entertainment world have visited our state to get outdoors and on the lake.
One frequent visitor to Minnesota - especially north-central Minnesota - is country singer Hank Williams, Jr. The two-time CMA Entertainer of the Year and Hall of Famer has made numerous trips to our state over the years. And - he usually posts about it on his Facebook and Twitter accounts.
This past week was no exception. Living here we know we've had a good run of "perfect weather" days - the kind where the fish like to bite. And, apparently they were for Hank, Jr.:
From what we can gather, Hank likes the Brainerd Lakes, Cross Lake, Mille Lacs Lake area. But - for obvious reasons, he and his staff are pretty quiet about where exactly they go.
I mean, even native Minnesotan's never disclose their favorite fishing holes!
