Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -

Rainfall totals of 3 - 4 inches were reported in Fillmore, Houston, Mower, and Winona Counties.

Lanesboro and Winona reported totals of around 4 ½ inches. 

Totals in Olmsted County ranged from just over an inch in Byron to 2.5 inches in Elgin and Eyota. The total at St. Marys Hospital was around 1.5 inches while the Rochester airport reported 1.83 inches. 

Most of the rain fell between 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM. 

The rain also caused flash flooding and several mudslides in the area.  Flash flooding and a mudslide were reported near the town of Whalen in Fillmore County. A mudslide was reported partially covering Highway 16 about three miles east of Lanesboro. Flash flooding and mudslides were also reported near Elba and Whitewater State Park.  Mudslides in the Winona area knocked down some power poles and a mudslide between Winona and Stockton knocked a tree onto Highway 14.

Dry weather is expected through the weekend.
