If you've always wanted to live a castle, this way-cool property right here in Minnesota might be right for you.

I first stumbled across this real estate listing two years ago, and it's apparently still on the market. So, if you're in the market for a castle, check it out. And, yeah, it's a castle. Think Harry Potter and Hogwarts and all of that. But this castle is right here in Minnesota, only about 75 miles northeast of Rochester, nestled right along the St. Croix River. (Google Maps shows its location to be close to Afton Alps State Park and Ski Hill.)

According to this Realtor.com listing from Kathryn Szczepaniak with Cushman Realty, the property has 4,732 square feet, with 4 bedrooms, 4 full baths (and 1 half-bath) and is located on roughly 7 acres. It's described like this:

"This historic home is available for the first time in over 60 years. Designed by the late Ellerbe Becket w/ outstanding craftsmanship & detail, from marble floors, to hand-carved woodwork, & locally quarried limestone exterior. Panoramic views, large entertaining spaces inside & out, serene setting nestled in the woods on the bluff of the scenic St. Croix River. Enjoy your own private beach, perfect for boating, swimming & entertaining."

Here's the thing, though: You might need to whip up some magic to be able to afford this quaint little castle because it's listed for... $2.75 million. (But that does include a recent price reduction from its previous listing price of $3.6 million!)

Yeah, it'll take more than just magic for me to able to afford that castle-- despite how cool it is. Maybe I'll just stick to setting up our tent in the backyard. Now, if something more modern is more your style, check out this million-dollar home that used to be the home to Xavier Rhodes when he was living in Minnesota and playing for the Vikings.
