Back in November, we shared a story about a Byron, Minnesota family that was lucky enough to be selected to compete on the popular TV show Family Feud. I spoke with Julie Krings about her family's experience on the show. She told us what Steve Harvey is really like, what her family won, and shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the studio taping, You can read more about that family's experience and see the photos below.

Tonight, Friday, May 20th, an Iowa family will be featured on the show. Like the Krings family, the Mielke's auditioned for the show virtually, were selected, and received an all-expense-paid trip to Atlanta to appear on the game show. Check out a sneak peek of tonight's show and find out when it will air below.

Iowa Family To Appear On Family Feud Tonight

See behind-the-scenes photos from the show below. Jason Mielke told KTTC News that he was a little starstruck when the taping started.

“When we were on stage, and Steve Harvey walked out, it was almost like a prophet walking in front of us. IIt took me about ten seconds to snap out of it and say that’s Steve Harvey standing in front of me.”

The family can't reveal how they did, but you can watch tonight to find out. Family Feud airs in the Rochester area on Fox 47 at 5:00 PM.

Most people will never get the chance to appear on a national game show so when I found out that my kids' teacher and her family were selected, I had to reach out to find out about the experience.
