Is This The Best Seafood Restaurant In Rochester?

You might not immediately think "seafood" when you think of this place, but they really deserve recognition for how well they prepare it!

Bleu Duck Kitchen in Rochester is known as a cute, quirky, place downtown that serves a variety of dishes. They pride themselves on serving the freshest versions of whatever is on the menu, and a lot of their items are seasonal.

My first trip to the restaurant came last night. I had the salmon. I'm a pretty picky eater, so I requested that most of the items it came with (Edamame / Prosciutto / Scallion / Millet / Cucumber / Egg Yolk Vinaigrette) be placed "on the side" and they totally accommodated that. To be even more honest, I had no idea what the majority of my "side items" were.

I did not regret my order!

Did I try the edamame, prosciutto, scallion, or millet? I did. I think I'm still going to stick with the ham bits - but hey, that's not Bleu Duck's fault. As I said, I'm just picky.

I was impressed with how well everything was prepared and the items they chose to "mix" scallops, duck, shrimp and mussels with. The dishes really are creative! For that reason, I'm saying Bleu Duck deserves recognition for being an amazing seafood option in Rochester.
