18 New Stores Now Open at the Mall of America, 7 More On The Way

Love it or hate it, if you’ve ever been to the Mall of America, you already know… it’s not just a mall. It’s basically a full-day commitment.

My family loves exploring MOA whenever we can; it seems like there’s always something new we haven't seen yet. And now, after the Mall of America recently added 18 new stores, 7 more are on the way.

Since opening in 1992, MOA has grown into the largest retail and entertainment complex in the United States, packed into more than 5.6 million square feet in Bloomington.

It’s home to 520+ stores, draws roughly 40 million visitors each year, and features everything from Nickelodeon Universe to SEA LIFE Aquarium, and it generates about $2 billion annually for Minnesota’s economy.

Before we get into all the new stores, let’s rewind for a second. Here are a few photos of what MOA looked like back in 1992 when it first opened... just a little nostalgia to set the stage.

What New Stores Just Opened at the Mall of America?

Over the past year, 18 new stores and concepts have opened inside MOA, including fashion, food, collectibles, and specialty retail.

Here’s a look at what’s new and already open:

• Build-A-Bear (Hello Kitty) – A themed version of the classic shop, where you create custom plush toys with a heavy dose of Hello Kitty nostalgia
• Mavi – A global denim brand known for high-quality jeans and modern casual wear
• DUCK! – A quirky, novelty-focused shop centered around duck-themed items and gifts
• Mogouyan Hand-Pulled Noodles – A fast-casual spot where fresh noodles are made by hand right in front of you
• MINISO – A popular lifestyle retailer offering affordable home goods, beauty products, and accessories
• Arabian Oud – A luxury fragrance store specializing in scents from the Middle East
• Card Vault by Tom Brady – A sports memorabilia and trading card shop backed by the NFL legend
• OG Zaza – A streetwear boutique featuring trendy, urban-inspired fashion
• POP MART – A collectible toy store known for its surprise “blind box” figures and designer collectibles
• Samsung Experience Store – An interactive retail space showcasing the latest Samsung tech and devices
• Aim Point – A golf-focused shop offering putting instruction tools and training systems
• Love Your Melon – A Minnesota-based apparel brand known for its beanies and mission-driven giving
• SKIMS – A popular clothing and shapewear brand focused on comfort, fit, and inclusivity
• Super Neon – A bold, colorful shop featuring statement fashion and accessories
• Evry Jewels – A trendy jewelry brand offering affordable, influencer-inspired pieces
• Mango – A global fashion retailer known for clean, modern styles
• Sweet Crunch (Tanghulu) – A specialty snack shop serving candied fruit treats made popular on social media
• Casper – A popular direct-to-consumer mattress brand bringing its online shopping experience into a physical store

7 New Stores Opening Soon at the Mall of America

According to the MOA website, 7 more stores and restaurants are confirmed to be opening soon.

Banana Republic

A well-known brand offering polished, professional, and everyday apparel

Giordano’s

A Chicago-based restaurant famous for its unique deep-dish stuffed pizza

Sweetgreen

A fast-casual chain focused on fresh salads and healthy bowls

Primark

A large international retailer known for affordable fashion and a wide selection

KPOP Nara

A specialty store centered on Korean pop culture, music, and merchandise

J.Crew

A classic American brand offering timeless clothing and accessories

Roni’s Mac Bar

A comfort food restaurant specializing in customizable mac and cheese dishes

While those new additions are confirmed, there aren’t exact opening dates listed yet.

Based on how MOA typically rolls things out, though, there’s a good chance you’ll start seeing many of these stores open their doors sometime this year.
