We are big on beer in Minnesota and Wisconsin and we are pretty spoiled with some pretty incredible breweries in our neck of the woods.

We have such good breweries, in fact, that one local brewery was even featured in a story by the Food Network! Ursa Minor Brewing spoke over the summer about beer poking, which definitely intrigued me.

Some people prefer casual beers while Northlanders really love craft beer. Whatever your taste may be, Only In Your State just named the best brewery in every state based on their own preferences.

They know that things like this can bring out some big opinions so just keep in mind that this is all in good fun and beauty is all in the eyes of the beer drinker. Ha!

Only In Your State Says Small Town Brewery Is The Best In Minnesota

I think it is cool that a brewery in Pine City was named the best in the state by the publication! It wasn't on my radar before and now it definitely is. The spot is called Three Twenty Brewing Company.

This brewery also serves beer and it looks INCREDIBLE! They are famous for their burgers and what better to wash it all down with than a crisp beer? While I think a Duluth brewery could've snagged the title, this one looks pretty great.

Only In Your State Reveals Their Pick For Best Brewery In Wisconsin

Was this one on your radar? The publication picked a brewery in Richfield for the top title. Belshire Brewing Company was named the best brewery in Wisconsin. Readers recommended a bunch of breweries in the state - some even more than once!

So what makes this one stick out? According to their blurb on the chosen brewery, it's part atmosphere and part business model, writing the following about the 'superb' brewery:

Small town vibes and community ethos anchor Belshire Brewing in a wholesome way, with Only In Your State readers raving about the delicious brews and owners' sustainability—the waste from onsite beer production goes to local farmers to help feed cows.

It's hard to argue against that - that's for sure! The brewery's website says the vibe is meant to embody what it meant to grow up in a Wisconsin neighborhood in the 70s and 80s. It's also family owned and operated.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
