Gluten-free options are coming a long way, and it's great to see! There was a time when if you wanted pizza and had a gluten intolerance, you had to do it homemade using crummy gluten-free crusts. Seriously, it was like eating cardboard. Fortunately, consumers are demanding more gluten-free options, and businesses are responding.

I LOVED Jack's Pizza until I needed to cut gluten out of my diet about 10 years ago. So, when I saw Jack's pizza in the gluten-free section, I snatched one up right away. Not a bad price either. It's only $6.99. Compare that to other gluten-free pizzas that typically cost 8.99 or 9.99 for a frozen pizza. My absolute favorite frozen pizza is a bank buster, but totally worth it. That's Heggie's Pizza Cauliflower Crust Sausage + Pepperoni that sells for $13.

Did you know Jack's Pizza is owned by Nestle? They are made in plants in Wisconsin and are one of the biggest brands in America. Nice to see them join with a gluten-free option.

So for years, I had the Jack's pizza cooking instructions memorized. 425 for about 15 minutes. Fortunately, I checked the instructions because they are a little different for the gluten-free pizza. It bakes at 400 degrees, on the bottom rack, for about 15 minutes. For me, it took more like 17 minutes, but I like my pizza more done than some.

It's a thicker crust than I expected. Jack's traditional pizzas have very thin crust. You can get the rising crust option too with the wheat crust pizzas. The gluten-free crust was somewhere between the thin crust and the rising crust thickness.

The flavor was good! It tasted just like a Jack's Pizza. In hindsight, I probably should not have cooked it quite as long as I did because the crust was a little crunchy on the end. Not bad at all, I still ate it.

For the price point of $6.99, this will be my go-to for stocking up the freezer when I see where they are available.
