Wisconsin Town Makes Finals For Hallmark’s ‘Merriest Christmas Town’ Contest

This is the best thing ever! If you love Hallmark movies as much as I do, you will be just as excited about this. One Wisconsin town could be named Hallmark's Merriest Christmas Town of 2026.

If you have ever watched even one Hallmark Christmas movie, you know that you can't help but feel all warm and fuzzy inside. While they might be cheesy, you just have to smile when you're watching one.

I have probably seen hundreds in my day. I just love a good cheesy Hallmark holiday film. If you're like me, now you can put that passion to good use and vote for the town you feel celebrates the spirit of Christmas the best.

Hallmark has narrowed it down to 25 incredible towns that do just that in honor of their 25th anniversary. A cute, small Wisconsin town made the list - and if it wins, it would be an amazing claim to fame!

In its official finalist entry, it is noted that everyone in the town is nice, known as Neenah Nice, and that is even more true come the holiday season.

Of course, the cute and charming downtown area during the holiday season also helped it crack the top 25. There's a famous Christmas market, sparkling Christmas lights and even horse-drawn carriage rides.

Basically, it has all of the makings of a romantic Hallmark movie and then some. I want to visit this winter!

How To Vote In 'Hallmark's Merriest Christmas Town' Contest For 2026

Neenah was submitted at the start of this contest and that's how it made the top 25 in the first place. Now that Hallmark is convinced it's one of the merriest Christmas towns around, it has a chance to take the national title.

You can vote right now through September 4th at 11:59 p.m. so definitely don't wait until the last second. You can vote once per day through the voting period.

Once voting ends, a panel of judges will also weigh in, taking things like community spirit, holiday traditions, neighborhood charm and goodwill into account. The winner will have the opportunity to be the backdrop for an upcoming holiday movie. SIGN ME UP!

I think Duluth also should have made the list but I am happy Minnesota is represented here. In case you missed it, Bemidji has made it to the top 25 as well!

I won't be greedy. Rescuing Christmas was already filmed here a few years ago and that aired on Hallmark. I wouldn't mind another one! It looks like we should find out who takes the title next month.
