A landmark on Minnesota's North Shore has been destroyed by fire. According to several reports, at around 12:30 Tuesday morning, Cook County Dispatch heard reports of a fire alarm at Lutsen Resort. Lutsen reported that smoke was seen coming from the floor in the lobby of the resort.

Our media partners at WDIO-TV report that responding units included the Lutsen Fire Department, Tofte Fire Department, Tofte First Responders, Grand Marais FD, Maple Hill FD, Gunflint FD, Finland FD, Silver Bay FD, Grand Portage FD, and the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.

By the time responders arrived, the building was completely engulfed in flames. Thankfully, there were no injuries were reported as there were guests on-site and all Lutsen staff members made it out of the building safely.
