The group then accuses Miu of "looking for little girls", which draws a larger group to the scene, escalating the situation as multiple people begin yelling at Miu and at least one person touches his shoulder.

As the encounter escalated, there were reports that he punched a female on the left side of her face before Miu was punched, and then the stabbings took place.

Witnesses began calling 911 at 3:47 p.m. and when authorities arrived they found a 24-year-old woman from Burnsville, Minnesota, a 20-year-old and 22-year-old man from Luck, Wisconsin, and a 22-year-old man from Elk River, Minnesota had been injured in the attack.

Issac Schuman, a teen from Stillwater, Minnesota, suffered fatal stab wounds. Nicolae Miu would be charged with first-degree intentional homicide and multiple counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
