Minnesota's mega-mall will play home to a tribute to a music icon from the Land of 10,000 Lakes this summer.

Officials with the Mall of America announced this week that they will be hosting a special tribute concert event to Prince in June that will feature several musical acts including “the world’s premier Prince tribute band.”

The event is called "Reign: Celebrating Minnesota Music Royalty", and it will be held on Tuesday, June 25 in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Prince's iconic album and film "Purple Rain".

The mall calls this an "immersive experience" that "honors the creativity, passion, and innovation that defined a musical generation and celebrates a legacy that continues to inspire + captivate audiences worldwide".

This ticketed event will be held in the mall's rotunda on June 25 from 5 pm to 10 pm, hosted by Twin Cities radio personality Maxx Fuller and featuring musical performances from four different acts through the evening.
