A man was sentenced to 143 years in prison after a crime spree that began at a Burger King drive-thru in Colorado.

The man was convicted after pointing a gun at a fast food drive-thru worker and later shooting at other people at a separate location the same night. The crimes took place in October of 2022, but the man was found guilty of 17 crimes in April of this year and was sentenced last week, according to ABC News.

It all started in Aurora, Colorado, when a man tried to pay for his Burger King order in an unusual way.

Prosecutors say that Eugene Robertson, 40, ordered food at a local Burger King drive-thru and when he got to the window to pay, things got weird.

Apparently, he tried to pay for his order with drugs. The Burger King worker — who was just minding their business, trying to make some money to pay bills — declined accepting the drugs as payment.

Robertson then pulled out a gun at the drive-thru.

But wait — There's more...

Robertson then took his party elsewhere, walking into a convenience store across the street and pointing his gun at the clerk's head.

Old boy got heated when he saw they had a surveillance video camera system there and he shot at the screen and left.

Robertson then shot toward two people outside in the parking lot on his way out. According to court documents, Robertson then went to a woman's house, who was friends with him, and banged on the door.

When she refused to answer, he shot several shots through her door and left. She called 911 to report it. This is where his excursion ended as police came and found him hiding in the bushes.

He was originally up for 400 years in prison, but got a hefty 143 years instead.

The Sentinel Colorado reported that Robertson was found guilty of eight counts of attempted first-degree murder with extreme indifference, four counts of menacing using a firearm and two counts of reckless endangerment. He was also sound guilty of single counts of illegally discharging a firearm, possession of methamphetamine and harassment.
