2 Children Airlifted After Crash at Rural Minnesota Intersection
Isanti, MN (KROC-AM News) - Two children were among the four people airlifted to a hospital in the Twin Cities following the traffic crash this morning in east-central Minnesota.
The Isanti County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to reports of an injury crash around 11 AM at a rural intersection between Princeton and Cambridge. A news release says a preliminary investigation determined that the driver of an SUV failed to stop at a stop sign and caused a "T-Bone" collision with a second SUV.
The Sheriff's Office says the man and woman in one of the vehicles were airlifted from the scene. There were three children and an adult in the other SUV. The news release says two of the children also suffered serious injuries and were initially transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital before they were flown to the Twin Cities.
The names of the injured parties have not been released. The Sheriff's Office says the crash remains under investigation.
The Minnesota State Patrol, the Isanti Fire Department and the Isanti Police Department all assisted at the scene.
