
Two Men Arrested Following Austin Shooting Investigation
Austin, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Austin Police Department has released information about an incident that prompted a shelter-in-place order this morning.
Austin Police Release New Details
A news release says officers responded to an address in the 500 block of 13th Avenue Southeast around 9:15 a.m. after receiving a report of possible shots fired. The officers were given a description of a suspect vehicle, which led to an attempted traffic stop.

Shelter-in-Place Order Issued
The statement says the two occupants of the vehicle fled on foot, and one was apprehended a short time later. A search was then launched for the second suspect in the area of the 900 block of 13th Avenue Southeast in Austin, and a shelter-in-place order was issued for the affected neighborhood, which included Woodson Elementary School.

Special Response Team Assists Search
Members of the Austin Police/Mower County Sheriff Special Incident Response Team participated in the search and apprehension of the second suspect. The news release indicates 25-year-old Joe Lewis Cansaneda and 20-year-old Izaiah Frank Fuentes, both of Austin, are being held on suspicion of second-degree assault.
One Person Suffers Gunshot Wound
While the search for the suspects was taking place, Austin police confirmed that a man had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Information about the victim's current medical condition has not been released.
