Update: Suspect in Downtown Rochester Apartment Shooting ID'D

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Rochester Police are at the scene of a shooting that occurred in downtown Rochester Friday morning.

Limited information is available, however a police department spokesperson says the shooting happened in the area of Park Towers at 22 North Broadway.

Police say a female has been shot. Her gunshot injuries are being described as non-life-threatening.

The Rochester Police Department's Forensic Mapping Unit arrived on the scene shortly after 12 p.m.

A suspect has been detained in connection to the shooting. Their identity has also not yet been released. 

Officers recovered a handgun at the scene of the shooting. Police say there is no immediate threat to the public.
