Bridge in Hwy. 52 Construction Zone Reopens
Zumbrota, MN (KROC-AM News)- A newly constructed overpass on Hwy. 52 near Rochester is now open to traffic.
A MnDOT news release sent out Thursday night indicates the southbound Hwy. 52 bridge at Hwy. 60 East has reopened. The onramp from westbound Hwy. 60 to southbound Hwy. 52 also reopened.
The news release says traffic through the work zone will still be down to a single lane as crews remove temporary crossover lanes in the median used during the bridge construction. The single lane traffic is still expected to be in place for several more weeks.
The work is part of a larger project that focuses on Hwy. 52 from Rochester to St. Paul. Crews have spent the construction season replacing the southbound bridge at Hwy. 52 and Hwy. 60 east after completing a bridge replacement for the northbound lanes at the junction last year.
