Wisconsin Man Taken to Hospital After Vehicle Misses Deer, Hits Pole in Goodhue County
Goodhue, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Wisconsin man was taken to a hospital after his vehicle crashed into a power pole after missing a deer in rural Goodhue County.

His vehicle was the only one involved in the crash at the intersection. The State Patrol responded to the crash shortly before noon on Wednesday morning.
The crash occurred at the intersection of County Rd. 4 and 350th St., which is about five miles northeast of Goodhue.
A car swerved to miss a deer, entered the ditch and collided with a power pole, the state crash report says. The report does not say which road he was on or which direction his vehicle was traveling.
58-year-old Thomas Patrick Link of Hudson, WI was identified as a driver. He suffered what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital in Red Wing for further care.
The report indicates Link was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. It’s not known if he was buckled up.
The road was wet at the time of the single-vehicle crash, according to the report.
The Red Wing Fire Department and Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the accident scene.
