Deadly Shooting in Twin Cities Suburb Under Investigation
Savage, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in the Twin Cities are investigating a deadly shooting.
It happened shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday. A news release from the Savage Police Department says officers responded to the report of a shooting in a residential area.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Responding medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene, the news release says.
The man’s body was turned over to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office which will release his identity after notifying his next of kin.
Officials say the investigation into the deadly shooting is in its early stages and that detectives have interviewed a witness. Although the circumstances that led up to the shooting remain unclear as of Monday morning, authorities believe it to be an isolated incident.
