Rochester PD Investigating 2nd Apartment Shooting in Under 7 Days
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Rochester Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened at an apartment complex Monday night.

Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson said officers responded to the report of shots fired around 9:30 p.m. Officers found spent shell casing upon arriving at the scene.
Grayson says the shooting occurred at the Villages of Essex Park apartment complex in the 1100 block of 41st St. Northwest.
It appeared no one was struck by the gunfire, however two vehicles and the exterior of an apartment building were hit by the bullets, according to the police report.
So far no arrests have been announced. The investigation is open and active, Grayson says.
Monday night’s shooting occurred less than a week after a shooting at an apartment complex in southeast Rochester.

Police reported finding evidence that the bullets had entered two units in the apartment complex in the 800 block of 16th Ave. Southeast on the night of Aug. 20.
No injuries were reported in that shooting and no arrests have been announced. Police said at the time it appeared the suspect or suspect had been targeting the building that was hit by the gunfire.
