Rochester, MN Woman Faces Felony Drug Charge Following Fentanyl Bust
38-year-old Ana Lynn Adams is charged with one count of first-degree drug possession.
The complaint says Rochester police stopped a vehicle she was riding in after seeing a “hand to hand” transaction and observing multiple traffic violations in the area of Hwy. 52 and 55th St. Northwest on the night of March 8.
Officers detected the smell of marijuana while speaking with Adams and saw a pipe with residue in her lap, the court document says.
Police then ordered an open air K-9 sniff of the vehicle and discovered a container that was holding 101 M30 pills that tested positive for fentanyl, according to the complaint.
Court records indicate Adams was convicted of second-degree drug possession in Olmsted County in 2020. She’s been ordered to appear in court by summons in June.
Officers suspected the driver of driving under the influence. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI after field sobriety testing, the complaint says.
His name is not listed in the court document.
