Rochester, Mn (KROC-AM News) - One person was treated at the scene after a fire broke out in a northeast Rochester home Friday afternoon.

A statement from the Rochester Fire Department says fire crews responded to a home at 5189 Connermara Drive Northeast shortly after 1 PM and found heavy smoke and fire showing from the house. The news release says the home suffered significant smoke, fire, and water damage. It also indicates fighting the fire was challenging because of the extreme cold and because the home was not located near any fire hydrants, forcing firefighters to use a water shuttle.

The Elgin Fire Department was called on to assist with equipment and firefighters. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
