The charges state that detectives learned that 37-year-old Derek Thomas Jeter, who had been categorized by the court as a Level 3 predatory offender, had previously registered the home as his address.

According to the criminal complaint, investigators found nearly 36 images considered child sexual abuse material stored in the Amazon account associated with Jeter. It says the children depicted in the sexually explicit images are as young as 7-9 years old.

Court records show Jeter has previous convictions for felony criminal sexual conduct and possession of child pornography as a predatory offender.

His 2007 conviction for third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a 15-year-old girl originally resulted in a three month jail sentence, but he was later ordered to serve an 18 month prison sentence after violating the terms of his probation, court records say.

He was convicted of the child pornography charge in 2012 and received a 45 month prison sentence.
