Officials Investigating Fire That Broke Out at Home Near Downtown Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Officials are investigating a fire that broke out at a home near downtown Rochester.

Four engines and one truck were dispatched to the fire, a fire department news release says. The Rochester Fire Department responded to the blaze shortly after 8:00 Monday evening.
The fire broke out at a home located at 15 6th Ave. Southeast. Responding firefighters found smoke coming from several windows of the home and no one outside, the news release says.
Crews conducted an initial search of the home as the fire attack began and did not find anyone inside of the house.
Fire Burns at Empty Home Near Downtown Rochester, Cause Under Investigation
As the firefight wound down, firefighters conducted a secondary search and determined the fire had been put out.
The Rochester Fire Marshal’s Division then responded to the scene to begin investigating the cause of the blaze as firefighters left the residence.
The news release says the home suffered extensive fire damage on the main floor. The second and third floors suffered smoke and heat damage.
A dollar estimate for the damage is not available. No injuries were reported.
The Rochester Police Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the fire call.
