Injury Crash at New Highways 61 and 43 Roundabout in Winona
Winona, MN (KROC-AM News) - One person was transported to a hospital for treatment following a two-vehicle collision Friday evening in Winona County.
The State Patrol says 56-year-old Michele Jacobs of Brandon, Wisconsin was a passenger in a minivan that collided with another vehicle at the new roundabout intersection of the junction of Highways 61 and 43 in Winona around 8:45 PM. She was transported to the Winona hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Wisconsin man driving the minivan was not injured. The State Patrol says three people were in the other vehicle and they also escaped injury. The driver was identified as 46-year-old Terrence Knutson of Winona.
The State Patrol report on the crash indicates the Knutson vehicle was headed south on Highway 43 while the minivan was traveling north on Highway 61. Alcohol was not involved and all five people in the two vehicles were wearing seatbelts.
