Man on Skateboard Hurt in Crash on HWY 14 Just East of Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Traffic was disrupted late Friday night on Highway 14 just east of Rochester due to a traffic crash involving a skateboarder.
According to the State Patrol, a man on a skateboard was in the westbound lane of the highway when he collided with a car and a motorcycle, which were both heading west. The preliminary crash report indicates the incident occurred just after 10 PM near the intersection with 60th Avenue Southeast.
The skateboarder was identified as 30-year-old Patrick Burke of Denver. The State Patrol says he was transported to St. Marys Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash report says the car was driven by 33-year-old Erin Best of Rochester, while the motorcyclist was identified as 31-year-old Brian Dean of West Concord. The State Patrol says they were not hurt.
The Mayo One helicopter, Mayo Clinic Ambulance, the Rochester Fire Department, and the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office also responded to the incident.
