Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A trial date has been set for a former Olmsted County Detention Deputy who is facing charges in two local cases.

45-year-old Matthew Adamson of Rochester was first charged last November as the result of a sting operation in which he is accused of attempting to solicit sexual acts from a Rochester police officer who was posing as a 13-year-old girl

The second case alleges Adamson recorded and saved videos of several female detainees changing clothing in the changing room at the Olmsted County Jail.

The charges also allege that hard drives seized from Adamson's residence contained images from at least five cameras that appeared to have been hidden in "separate and distinct bathroom locations" and showed six females undressing to enter a shower.

Adamson was also indicted in federal court in April for production and possession of child pornography and coercing a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct.

He was accused of producing child pornography and in some cases secretly recording 12 and 13 year old girls multiple times from 2015-2023.

Federal Court documents also alleged Adamson coerced a minor girl into having sexual contact with him and was possessing sexually explicit images and videos of minors.

He pleaded guilty last month to one count of production and possession of child pornography in exchange for the dismissal of the other charges, according to federal court documents. His sentencing date in the federal case has not yet been scheduled.

Olmsted County Court records indicate an April 7 trial date has been set for both local cases against Adamson. In January he pleaded not guilty to all of the state-level charges filed against him.
