Motorcyclist Severely Injured in SE Minnesota Crash
Spring Grove, MN (KROC-AM News)- A motorcyclist from Spring Grove suffered serious injuries in a crash involving a pick-up truck in Houston County Tuesday afternoon.
The State Patrol says the crash occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 44 and Houston County Rd. 4 in the western edge of Spring Grove. The crash was reported shortly before 5 p.m.
The state crash report indicates the motorcycle, operated by 64-year-old Mark Ronald Peterson, was traveling west on the two-lane highway when it was hit by the pick-up as it attempted to turn onto eastbound Hwy.44 from southbound County Rd. 4. Peterson was taken from the crash scene to a La Crosse Hospital with what are being described as life-threatening injuries.
The pick-up driver, identified as 26-year-old Timothy Mikal Morken of Spring Grove, was not hurt. Peterson was wearing a helmet and alcohol was not involved in the severe-injury crash, the report says.
The Spring Grove Fire Department and Spring Grove Ambulance also responded to the motorcycle crash scene.
